Event Layout & Load In Schedule

Schedule:
6:30am - 9:00am | Artisans who didn’t rent a tent from us
9:00am - 9:30am | Artisans with a tent rental
10:00am | Mobile Trucks (Please use Orange Grove to load in from then drive to your designated street)
*No entry will be allowed after 10:00am. No exceptions.

All Load-In will be @ Orange Grove and San Fernando Blvd (on the west side of the intersection- teal star on below parking map)

San Fernando Blvd will be closed from Magnolia to Angeleno, so you will need to plan your trip accordingly, whether you want to drive in or walk in your items.

Parking:

Please respect your fellow artisans who need to load their equipment into their booths. Empty your car and move your vehicle IMMEDIATELY to permanent parking BEFORE set up. All cars must be off of San Fernando by 10:00am. Please see below for parking suggestions, parking is free. Most street parking is 2 hour max, so a lot is recommended.

**No vehicles will be allowed onto event site between 10am on Saturday and 5pm on Sunday.


Load-Out

Please note: Load-out will occur on Sunday only. If you need to bring anything home between event days, you will not be able to drive up to your booth to do so.

Sunday Instructions:
1) Pack up your items FIRST (we must clear the street first so barricades will not open right way, please be patient)
2) Go get your vehicle. 
3) Enter for load-out from the same street as you loaded in from, Orange Grove @ west side.

4) Mobile Trucks we will have you exit through the barricades closest to your location.

*Remember to be swift and courteous to your fellow vendors, as the street will get crowded at the end of the event, pull up as close as you can to your tent as to not clog the passing lane.

All booths must be completely packed up off of the street by 10:00pm

Do NOT pack up early, the event is strictly 11am to 5pm. Vendors who pack up early won't be welcome back.


Tent Weights

Tent weights are required at all booths. If you are renting a tent, your tent will come with weights.

Rentals

All rental items will be delivered to your booth Saturday morning. If you rented a tent you will load in at 9:00am to allow for rental setup. Please note we outsource rentals and do not have extra on hand on fair day.


Overnight / Security

You may leave your tent and display materials up overnight between event days.  We suggest you pack up merchandise and only leave display materials.

There will be security overnight, but we do NOT recommend you leave valuable or small items. We HAVE experienced theft at events in the past and we want to remind you to please care for your valuables. Insurance is a great idea as well to protect your personal property.


Itinerant Merchant Permit Application

For this event, the City of Burbank requires an Itinerant Merchant Permit or Food Peddler Permit for every vendor. Please note, you do not owe an additional fee for this permit, all fees are covered by your already paid booth fee.

Mass Social Media Post

Let’s flood social media together!  We will be doing a social media takeover leading up to the fair! How this will work is that on the same day, we will all post about the fair and use this graphic.

FAQ

What permits are required to vend? 

All vendors must have the following: 

  • City of Burbank Itinerant Merchant Permit or Food Peddler Permit. Please note, Jackalope will be covering the cost of this permit, but we do require you to fill out and send to us.

  • Temporary or Permanent CALIFORNIA'S SELLERS PERMIT from the CDTFA.  Note: vendors selling prepackaged food may be exempt from this requirement if your business does not charge sales tax.

    • Please use the following as the physical address for your permit:
      150 N. Third Street Burbank, CA 91502

  • If you are a food vendor, we require a Temporary Food Facility Permit (TFF).  You will be receiving your approved TFF permit before the show date.  Please print and have with you at your booth.

Is insurance required? 

It is highly recommended that you have it - you never know what could happen. As we state in our contract, we will not be responsible for any loss or damage of Artisans property, injury to, or death of the Artisan, or Artisan Sales. We recommend ACT INSURANCE

Is the event dog friendly?

Yep! However, please keep your pup on-leash at all times.

Is electricity available?

No - there is no access to electricity for any vendors

Is wifi available?

No - please plan to rely on your cellular network.

Is there water and food available?

We will have water for sale at our information booth for $1. San Fernando Blvd is also full of restaurants of all kinds.

Where do you recommend to stay in the area?

Traveling to the fair and need somewhere nearby to stay?  We have a discounted block of rooms available at the Hilton Garden Inn. This discount is only good until the 19th of November.



Additional Opportunities & Promotions

Contribute to the Jackalope Boutique

At the fair, we often have many makers who create special "jackalope" themed items.  We love highlighting these awesome creations and would like to feature them all together in our own "jackalope themed" booth at the front of the fair.  

One of each jackalope themed item will be on display and labeled with the artist name, price, and booth number.  If someone is interested in purchasing your item, we'll send them your way!  We won't actually sell your products, this is just a fun way to give you some extra promotion and to spread some jackalope love.

Jackalope Boutique items can be brought directly to us at the fair during setup.
However, we'll need you to email us the title and price of your item at least one week before the fair.  Please email info to vendors@jackalopeartfair.com

Note: If you send us an image of your Jackalope Boutique item early, we will do an Instagram post, sharing your item and tagging you.


Jackalope Gift Cards

If you receive a gift card that looks like this, please accept as a form of payment. We will be handing these out to contest winners, staff etc. so you may get one!

You can come up to the info booth at any time during the fair to be reimbursed.
