Where are you from & how does that affect your work? I'm from the Bay Area and currently live in Alameda. I love it here in the Bay Area; there are so many talented people who inspire me every day. I get inspired every time I'm at a craft fair.
Who is your biggest influence? My biggest influence is my dad. He taught me a lot about life and how to be independent. My dad knew a lot about everything. He is handy around the house and garden, he was a really good auto mechanic (now retired) and he is really creative when he was put to the challenge. I used to follow him around when I was young to watch him fix stuff around the house, work on his cars and fixing this and that. I was so curious. Everything I know I learned from my dad.

What is the hardest part of the creation process?
It used to be space, but after moving to Alameda, I now have my own studio. Having enough time is the hardest part. I still work a full-time job and it doesn't give me enough time to work on jewelry. I love making jewelry; it takes a lot of time, patience and more time. Lol
What's your favorite item that you've created, and why?
I love rings and I love making them. Finding a stone and designing a ring with it is so satisfying and makes me happy. I love it when it gets sold, but also sad because I love all my rings and want to keep them all. Haha... Favorite ring is the labradorite ring on my finger.

What do you love most about San Diego? I love the weather, the food, the beaches! I like going to Balboa Park every chance I get when in San Diego.
What is a fun fact about yourself that other may not expect? I recently got into baking bread. I've been making a lot of baguettes and focaccia lately. I love a warm baguette with vegan butter. I'm going to try baking sourdough next.
Love that <3 Anything special you'd like to share? It's my first time doing a craft fair in San Diego and I'm very excited to be part of it!

We can’t wait to see you in person this August 29th & 30th for Jackalope San Diego!
