Where are you from & how does that affect your work? Born in Houston, Texas, I’ve called Southern California home since I was eight. My work directly reflects this environment, deeply inspired by California’s diverse natural landscapes. However, my creative lens is also shaped by my global experiences. As a Taiwanese American, I spent my childhood summers traveling to Taiwan, and as an adult, I’ve lived in Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Paris. Merging these global perspectives with West Coast natural beauty allows me to create organic, nature-inspired pieces that remain elegant, timeless, and effortlessly wearable for the modern woman.
Who/what are your biggest influences? Mother Nature is my primary muse. I view myself as a conduit for what she has already perfected, designing jewelry that serves as a daily, wearable reminder of nature's grounding and healing energy. I am also heavily influenced by fashion. I constantly envision how a piece will interact with an ensemble, designing jewelry that seamlessly bridges the gap between imagination and everyday style for my ideal customer.

What is the hardest part of the creation process?
My biggest challenge in my process is executing the exact technique to capture a specific texture, silhouette, detail or form. It often involves several iterations. Often, it feels like I am taking three steps forward and two steps back—a process that can be tough on the brain, but ultimately makes the breakthrough all the more rewarding. Also, translating the essence of California's landscape into rigid metal requires a deep imagination. Because nature doesn't follow a straight line, there isn't a single formula for success.
What's your favorite item that you've created, and why?
My favorite recent creation is the necklace that launched my Wildfire Collection. Originally a custom commission for a friend, it allowed me to experiment with 940 Argentium silver. I completely fell in love with how the material handles fire, its unique fusing properties, and the beautifully organic textures it yields. Hand-fabricating each piece requires a delicate dance between raw art and meticulous metalsmithing. Because the collection is inspired by California’s wildfire resilience, it carries a deep personal meaning for my wearers. It's also incredibly close to my heart because a portion of all proceeds from this collection goes directly toward California wildfire relief.

What do you love most about San Diego? I love its breathtaking natural beauty, its sunny disposition, and the instantly welcoming, laid-back energy you feel the moment you arrive.
What is a fun fact about yourself that other may not expect? My deep connection to nature is actually a later chapter in my life! I grew up as a quintessential city girl in the suburbs, spent my time at the mall, and even worked in several luxury fashion boutiques. Today, my lifestyle looks entirely different. I’ve traded luxury boutiques for the great outdoors—I'm a casual, nature-oriented enthusiast who loves rock climbing, camping, and I have summited several of Southern California's tallest peaks, including Mt. Whitney itself.
That is just so cool! Anything special you'd like to share? When I’m not at the jeweler's bench or out on the trails, I live in Fullerton, California with my partner and our energetic Border Collie/Aussie mix pup, Binky, who keeps us both on our toes!

I hope we get to meet Binky! We can’t wait to see you in person this August 29th & 30th for Jackalope San Diego!
