Where are you from & how does that affect your work? I am originally from the Boston, Mass. Currently living in L.A.
The East Coast shaped my art in terms of story-telling. Boston is full of myths, legends, memories and secrets.
The West coast has shaped my work as far as color is concerned.
What is your biggest influence? My work is based on nature. My biggest influence from the West coast is my color palette.
Earth tones with a punch.
What is the hardest part of the creation process?
The most difficult part of my work is creating the patterns for the scarves and wallpapers.
All of my scarves/wallpapers tell a story: the origins of the images and shapes.
Every design begins with something real - moments, textures or landscapes that I have captured myself.
The fun part is creating the color palettes. My influence is from Asian and Arabic color combinations.
What's your favorite item that you've created, and why?

I really don’t have one favorite item. Each piece tells its own story.
Seasonal changes do influence my choices, especially here on the West Coast.
Every design is created using my personal photography and art.
What do you love most about Santa Barbara? Santa Barbara is a great place filled with great foods and people.
As close as it it is to the hustle and bustle of L.A. its a world unto itself.
Is there nothing more beautiful than the coast line of California?
What is a fun fact about yourself that other may not expect? A fun fact. I’ve spent my career doing hair for T.V. and Film.
I began as an artist then did a pivot to a more sustainable way of life, and the reason I moved to L.A.
My art has always been important to any of my works, whether it be making digital collages, fabrics, scarves, wallpapers or hair creations. I now make art full-time.
Love that <3 Anything special you'd like to share? My ethos is grounded in authenticity, slow creation and a deep respect for the environment.
I value originality over trend, art over mass production, and beauty that lasts.
Every scarf is produced in limited editions of 35 units each. When the scarf sells out, the design is retired.
We can’t wait to see you in person this July 11th & 12th for Jackalope Santa Barbara!
